Milton covers an area of 365 square kilometers and is located just 40 kilometers west of downtown Toronto. It is accessible via Highway 401 and is the western terminus for the Milton line commuter train and bus corridor operated by GO Transit. Milton is situated on the Niagara Escarpment, which is a UNESCO world biosphere reserve and the home of the Bruce Trail.
